TIME = LOVE

I was once told that kids spell love… T I M E.
And that simple truth has stayed with me ever since.

As a business owner, it’s so easy to get swept up in the world of meetings, marketing, and momentum. But the real magic? That happens in the small, quiet moments with the people we love most.

For me, Tuesday nights are sacred. Each week, my 22-year-old daughter comes over for dinner, and it’s a tradition I absolutely treasure.

TUESDAY NIGHT DINNER

This week? I made my very first enchiladas! (Im not the best cook, but I’m getting there!). A bit fiery, but very tasty (and lunch for tomorrow is sorted!).
Topped it off with salsa, guacamole, sour cream… and a rather indulgent dessert: melted Biscoff spread with Biscoff Vienetta Ice Cream. Yes, it was as good as it sounds!

After dinner, we played our “Name the Band” game. We smashed most of them but got stuck on a few, can you guess the ones in the photo below?

And then we curled up to watch The Walking Dead from the very beginning.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER?

Because no matter how busy life gets, our presence is the greatest gift we can give.

Research shows that children and young adults who spend regular quality time with parents or caregivers are more resilient, emotionally grounded, and confident.

In fact:
• A Harvard study found that quality time is the biggest predictor of long-term happiness in children, even more than academic success.
• The average parent spends less than 30 minutes of meaningful conversation with their child each day.

No matter their age, your time still matters.

So here’s a gentle reminder to all the busy entrepreneurs and professionals out there:
Put your phone down. Close the laptop. And just be present.
You’ll never regret time spent with your kids.

And if they’re grown up like mine? That tradition, even if it’s just a weekly dinner, becomes a beautiful anchor in your week.

What are your family traditions that keep you grounded?
